Big movers up included the Cincinnati Bengals (11 spots) and the Tennessee Titans (9 spots). On the flip side, a handful of teams were bumped back five spots. Jacksonville was only bumped one spot but that put them back in last place. Here are the full rankings:
NFL Power Rankings
Through Week 10
Andrew – 776 Points
(90-55-1) – Winner of Week 10
Greg – 731 Points
(85-60-1)
NOTE: Last week’s rank is noted in the first parenthesis.
Current team record noted in the second parenthesis.
1. (3) Houston Texans (8-1) – Offense didn’t do much against
the Bears, but no offense does. D. Manning had a great homecoming though being
in on 3 of the Bears 4 turnovers. – Andrew
2. (1) Atlanta Falcons (8-1) – Probably a good thing they lost at this point. Now
they can play football again without the distraction of being undefeated. Still
a great team with a great chance at a Super Bowl. – Andrew
3. (5) Green Bay Packers (6-3) – It was a great bye week for them as they rested up
and still gained ground on the Bears. – Andrew
4. (2) Chicago Bears (7-2) – Sunday night's loss to the Texans really highlighted the
Bears' continued struggles on offense. They aren't as bad as they looked on
Sunday, as the weather played havoc on both teams offensive abilities, but
getting Alshon Jeffery back will really help this team. So would working Matt
Forte back into the passing offense… Just because they have Brandon Marshall
doesn't mean they still can't use their second best option out of the
backfield. – Greg
5. (7) Denver Broncos (6-3) – Scored offensive, defensive, and special teams touchdowns
on Sunday. Oh and Peyton Manning is getting better. Yikes! – Greg
6. (10) Baltimore Ravens (7-2) – The defense has returned
now that they are used to being without Ray Lewis. But this week the big play
offense returned making them as dangerous as any team in the league. – Andrew
7. (6) New England Patriots (6-3) – The defense that looked much improved at the beginning of
the season has steadily gotten worse over the course of the season. They
need to step up and be better in order for this team to be a real success. –
Greg
8. (4) San Francisco 49ers (6-2-1) – I still don't know how this team didn't beat St. Louis at
home. David Akers missed a relatively easy game winning field goal and Colin
Kaepernick seems to be worse than Tim Tebow at throwing the football (which I
didn't think was possible). – Greg
9. (8) Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) – Another beat up QB leads
me to worry about them going forward. How many games will Big Ben miss? That
answer may determine the AFC North. – Andrew
10. (11) Indianapolis Colts (6-3) – The
bald boys are getting it done behind a tremendous rookie quarterback. But
recently I’ve enjoyed watching this defense play. They get after it and gang
tackle with the best of them. – Andrew
11.
(13) Seattle Seahawks (6-4) – Speaking of rookie QB’s, Russell Wilson is
performing better and better as the season progresses. I’ll finally admit they
made a good decision here by starting him over Matt Flynn. – Andrew
12.
(9) New York Giants (6-4) – Losers
of 3 straight games the G-Men are really looking like they don't care on the
field. They need to step it up, and it starts with Eli Manning. – Greg
13. (14) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-4) – Is there a more
dangerous team in the NFL right now? Probably not. They are playing well in all
phases and Doug Martin is making a case for Rookie of the Year. – Andrew
14. (16) Minnesota Vikings (6-4) – Adrian Peterson has rushed for nearly 350 yards in his
last 2 games. He says he's not 100 percent yet. I say what happens when he gets
to be 100 percent? Will he then run for 300 yards in one game? – Greg
15.
(17) New Orleans Saints (4-5) – Benefitted from poor play calling by Atlanta late in the 4th
quarter Sunday but they still have played much better since Joe Vitt has been
back on their sidelines, proving that those prior to the season that said
coaching really matters are right. – Greg
16. (19) Dallas Cowboys (4-5) – Dallas finally got back in the winner’s column and it
was due to a tenacious defense. That defense will fuel them going forward as
they try and catch the Giants. A win this week pulls them back within a game. –
Andrew
17. (12) Detroit Lions (4-5)
– Calvin is starting to produce more and more each week. But that isn’t equally
wins. The defense needs to get after it. – Andrew
18.
(29) Cincinnati Bengals (4-5) – The Bengals looked on Sunday like they did early this season and
more like what we were expecting. Andy Dalton showed that he could actually
throw it to people not named AJ Green. – Andrew
19. (28) Tennessee Titans (4-6) – Jake Locker’s return
to the field marked a vast improvement to their entire team apparently. They
showed us again what type of talent they have, but they have been so up and
down. – Andrew
20.
(15) Miami Dolphins (4-5) – After starting the season playing well, things have gotten worse
in recent weeks. Maybe that has to do with the fact they don’t have an identity
as a team. – Andrew
21.
(21) Washington Redskins (3-6) – Typical bye week so team stays put. – Greg
22.
(18) San Diego Chargers (4-5) – Rivers finally played like a pro-bowler
again… minus the late pick-6 that cost them the game. – Andrew
23.
(20) Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) – Is Foles the answer? Probably not, but
with Vick out he will get his chance. – Andrew
24.
(30) St. Louis Rams (3-5-1) – They showed the fight that Jeff Fisher
teams usually show. Getting Amendola back was and is a big key. – Andrew
25.
(25) Arizona Cardinals (4-5) – If they didn’t find a starting caliber quarterback and running
back over their bye week then it was worthless. – Andrew
26.
(24) Buffalo Bills (3-6) – They gave the Patriots a game on Sunday, but the
ability to win will be due to defensive improvement from here on out. – Andrew
27. (22) Oakland Raiders (3-6) – Defense
was terrible on Sunday as it has been all season. – Andrew
28. (23) New York Jets (3-6) – The Jets keep playing worse and worse and the
distraction of Tebow is increasing. Just start him already and see what
happens. – Andrew
29. (26) Carolina Panthers (2-7) – Good news: Greg Olson.
Bad news: everything else. – Andrew
30.
(27) Cleveland Browns (2-7) – There is nothing to say here except the
fantasy football community has a man-crush on Richardson and it will only grow
as he gets older. – Andrew
31. (32) Kansas City Chiefs (1-8) – Congrats on finally
leading a game in regulation. But that still didn’t equal a win. – Andrew
32. (31) Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8) – Firmly
in the chase for the top overall pick next year. – Andrew
