NFL Power Rankings
Through Week 13
Andrew – 1071 Points
(122-69-1) – Winner of Week 13
Greg – 1018 Points
(118-73-1)
NOTE: Last week’s rank is noted in the first parenthesis.
Current team record noted in the second parenthesis.
1. (1) Houston Texans (11-1) – They might not be the best team in the league, but they
have consistently played like the best team over the course of the entire
season. – Greg
2. (3) Atlanta Falcons (11-1) – Last week I had an inkling of doubt about this
squad. After beating down the Saints and holding Brees without a TD, I’m back
on board with them again! – Andrew
3. (2) New England Patriots (9-3) – Clinched the AFC East on the road this week, and Wes
Welker tied Jerry Rice's record for most games with 10+ catches in a career. –
Greg
4.
(5) Denver Broncos (9-3) – If my count is correct, they have now won seven
straight contests. Quick question: Who is scarier to play against… Von Miller
or Peyton Manning? – Andrew
5. (9) Green Bay Packers (8-4) – As long as Green Bay
doesn’t run into the Giants in the playoffs, they should be okay… – Andrew
6.
(10) Indianapolis Colts (8-4) – The Colts... well they keep finding ways to win games. No
disrespect to RGIII, because he's playing great, but this Colts team was 2-14
last year. Not only do I think Luck should win the ROY award, but also he's my
leader right now for the MVP award. – Greg
7.
(4) Baltimore Ravens (9-3) – Blew a HUGE chance to all but clinch the division at home
against the Charlie Batch-led Steelers. It was the Ravens' first home loss in
the last 16 games and they may have lost Terrell Suggs for the rest of the year
with a torn biceps. – Greg
8. (8) New York Giants (7-5) – Lost a close game last night in Washington, but they are
playing fairly well overall and still hold a one game lead in the division. –
Greg
9.
(11) Cincinnati Bengals (7-5) – AJ Green has cooled off but Dalton and
the rest of the squad is still red hot. BJGE continues to produce in the
running game and the defense is playing at a high level. – Andrew
10.
(15) Seattle Seahawks (7-5) – At the start of the season I made a big
deal about how I would start Matt Flynn. I am fully convinced now that I was
wrong. The Seahawks knew Russell Wilson was special all along. I agree! –
Andrew
11. (6) San Francisco 49ers (8-3-1) – I'm dropping them because of
the shenanigans that Harbaugh is pulling with Colin Kaepernick. I don't
understand what he is doing. – Greg
12. (7) Chicago Bears (8-4) – Is it crazy that I can
honestly blame this Bears defense for a loss? Cutler and company played good
offense but didn’t even get a chance in OT. The defense gave up drives of 97
and 80 on consecutive possessions to lose at home on Sunday. – Andrew
13. (12) Washington Redskins (6-6) – Have won 3 straight since the bye week and RGIII is
playing ridiculously well. Alfred Morris, who played at FLORIDA ATLANTIC, is on
pace for a 1400 yard season. – Greg
14. (16) Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) – Their win over
Baltimore was one they sorely needed, but they still have work to do. Getting
Ben back is priority one cause they won’t survive long with Batch at QB. –
Andrew
15. (13) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6) – As expected, the Bucs
enter their brutal finish by losing at Denver. Sooner or later they need to
take one of these tough games cause the schedule doesn’t weaken. – Andrew
16. (18) Dallas Cowboys (6-6) – Romo was special on Sunday night and Demarco Murray made
a difference in his return. Now only one back of the Giants, December will be
an interesting month. – Andrew
17.
(22) St. Louis Rams (5-6-1) – They truly do have the 49ers number. What
I really liked though was the poise they showed down the stretch and in OT. –
Andrew
18. (17) Minnesota Vikings (6-6) – Ponder continues to
struggle with Percy Harvin out of the lineup. Peterson doesn’t struggle…. ever!
– Andrew
19.
(14) New Orleans Saints (5-7) – They were back to .500 two weeks ago.
Now they are two games under and not looking like a playoff team. – Andrew
20.
(23) Buffalo Bills (5-7) – Looking at Buffalo’s remaining schedule, they could
easily win out to finish 9-7 (St. Louis, Seattle, @Miami, NYJ). Will that get
them to the playoffs though? – Andrew
21. (19) Detroit Lions (4-8)
– Tough pill to swallow losing another one at the end. So many close games this
year have gone the other way. Is that bad luck or something to do with the team
and coaching staff? – Andrew
22.
(20) Miami Dolphins (5-7) – After a home loss on Sunday, it’s all but
over this season in Miami. – Andrew
23.
(26) Cleveland Browns (4-8) – Weeden and Richardson improving each game
and the defense is playing solidly week in and week out. They have a bright
future. – Andrew
24.
(21) San Diego Chargers (4-8) – It’s officially time for change in San
Diego…. That includes roster changes, coaching changes, everything. – Andrew
25. (27) New York Jets (5-7) – Finally got an actual QB in the game. McElroy should start
every game the rest of the season. – Greg
26. (24) Tennessee Titans (4-8) – The main
disappointment here is that Chris Johnson didn’t produce this week for my
fantasy team. – Andrew
27.
(31) Philadelphia Eagles (3-9) – They lost this week but I’m bumping
them up because they finally figured out that they are allowed to run. Bryce
Brown has been great over the last couple of weeks. Foles sucks, but still… –
Andrew
28.
(28) Arizona Cardinals (4-8) – Eight in a row now! – Andrew
29. (29) Oakland Raiders (3-9) – Props to
Myers on 14 receptions, tied for most in Raider history in a game. – Andrew
30. (25) Carolina Panthers (3-9) – Cam was great, but that
doesn’t equal wins. He is the opposite of Tim Tebow, even the part about him
being praised and being able to play. – Andrew
31. (30) Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) – Trade
for Tebow time? – Andrew
32. (32) Kansas City Chiefs (2-10) – They win
but they still stink. It was an inspired effort based on the tragic suicide
earlier in the week. But they are still the worst team in the NFL. Maybe they
should trade for Tebow (see how I got him into three straight dialogues). –

Don't rag on Florida Atlantic... they are a Big East team starting in two years (that's actually true).
