Snaer Shout Out

Senior shooting guard Michael Snaer is doing something amazing at Florida State. He isn't as many points as other players in the country, or even the conference, but he is scoring when it matters most: at the end of games! On September 17th, 2012, when previewing the ACC, we ranked Snaer as the best player in the ACC entering the year. Here is what we said:

1. Michael Snaer: Florida State – 14 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists (2011-12 stats)

Greg's #1 Player and Andrew's 4th in ACC.

If I was taking one player to take one shot at the end of the game, he is whom I choose. We all remember his heroics last season, but this year he’ll become known for more than a couple plays. He will put up great numbers and prove that he’s the best guard in the conference.

He's making us look like prophets (at least the end of game comment).

Although he isn't leading Florida State to as great a season as we expected, he has now hit game winners in their last three wins. That's his fifth game winner at Florida State in the last two seasons. That's just silly. He's done it against five different teams, but all in ACC play. That means he's taken out  nearly half of the entire conference with game winners. He has (as Skip Bayless calls it) the "Clutch Gene." Lebron wishes he could have it...

So without further ado, let's give Snaer a shoutout... I see you Michael!... And take a look at his five game winning shots (and counting):

#1 - 1/21/12: at Duke
#2 - 2/16/12: vs. Virginia Tech
#3 - 1/24/13: vs. Clemson
#4 - 1/30/13: vs. Maryland
