NFL Championship Games

Last week was fun, but honestly there weren't any surprises. So what it comes down to are the matchups we all saw coming at the start of the year. It's the QB rivalry, Manning vs. Brady (again), and the team rivalry, Seahawks vs. 49ers. No love lost in these matchups for sure. Here's our take:

Denver vs. New England

Greg:
I'm taking Denver in this one. They've been the better team all year, and the Patriots won't be able to beat them twice in a row. Both teams are missing some key guys on defense, but Denver is much healthier on offense. That's the difference.

Andrew:
Brady is 2-1 in playoff matchups with Manning, but the home team has won each time. Manning is at home so I'm taking Denver. I've said all year that the Broncos are the best team, and I still believe they'll win the Super Bowl. Their defense was solid last week and Manning made plays at the end to ice it. Both give me confidence they'll pull through here.

Seattle vs. San Francisco

Greg:
Seattle hasn't been invincible at home this year (Arizona), so this game is trickier than one would believe. San Francisco beat them in their most recent matchup, and their team is much different than the one that got smoked in Seattle early in the year. San Francisco shows up in the playoffs (last year was a great example), so I'm taking the 49ers.

Andrew:
Similar to Denver, Seattle has been elite all year long and have been steamrolling towards the Super Bowl. Their offense can get stagnant and that worries me, but I have faith in the defense, especially at home. The 49ers took them out in the playoffs a year ago, this time it's Seattle's turn. I say Russell Wilson and Lynch both run wild to set up a Denver/Seattle Super Bowl.

Enjoy the games once again!
